"35 Minutes Ago, You Had 20 Seconds to Comply": A Survival Guide to Days of Future Past

Room 2

Engelsk 45 min Q-day Doom(!) Security Compliance Entertainment Visual novel

Andreas Ahlgren

I am the Quantum Director of Sopra Steria Scandinavia. I love tech, am a self proclaimed "doomer" and like to make my talks both engaging and fun (and/or filled with DOOM!)

Welcome to the apocalypse!

Huh? You didn't notice when digital trust in Norway died? Well, you are not alone, but rest assured – we are all already hacked. Or almost surely, anyway.

In the world of "Harvest Now, Decrypt Later," the breach isn't coming; it already happened. And for Norway as a country, it no longer matters if the Quantum Threat is a physical reality or a fever nightmare. With tightening deadlines and punishing laws like NIS2 and DORA, the security of your data is no longer just in the hands of IT. It is – dear God – the responsibility of your Board of Directors!

What, if anything, can be done before the clock hits midnight (35 minutes ago)? This talk explores Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) through the lens of a world where the master plan was set in motion years ago. It’s time to stop worrying about the future and start fixing the past.

No experince needed. Everyone should attend (it is frikking important darn it!). But also - developers, network engineers, security champions, people with any personal data in any shape or form somewhere.
