Fredrik Eiding is a software development engineer at Autodesk. He has previously worked as a consultant and has a master's degree in Informatics from NTNU. He is also a hobby game dev and has created and published an award winning free and open source video game: "Red Planet Rampage"

An introduction to shadow rendering and related techniques. This talk will give an overview of real time rendering of shadows using three.js and openGL, with a practical example of how we created performant sharp shadows independent of resolution using techniques dating back to the video game DOOM 3 in order to solve a user problem we encountered in our own product.

Recommended for those who are interested in rendering, three.js or how shadows work. No experience needed, but some understanding of rendering can be beneficial.
